WESTBROOK — Three runs scored on a bases-loaded single by Chloe Grant, capping a six-run fourth inning that helped South Portland earn a doubleheader split Saturday against Westbrook with an 8-7 victory, after the host Blue Blazes won the opener, 3-1.

Eliese Perron contributed an RBI single during South Portland’s big inning in Game 2. Westbrook (4-5) fought back with the help of run-producing hits by Grace Wallace, Nevaeh Landry, Caitlin Noiles and Maddy Brown before the Red Riots finally closed out the win.

Noiles struck out 12 and pitched a seven-hitter to earn the Game 1 victory. Wallace homered in the fourth inning.

Julia Connors was 4 for 4 in Game 1 for South Portland (6-4).

NOBLE, SANFORD SPLIT: Hannah Mueller, Tori Lawrence and Libby Alexander got three hits apiece and Sanford (10-3) pulled away with an eight-run sixth inning as it salvaged a doubleheader split against visiting Noble (7-6), winning 11-2 in Game 2 and Noble won the opener, 13-6.

Kate Blouin and Alice Fall each had two RBI for Sanford in the second game.

Reece Rogers drove in four runs for Noble in Game 1. Ellie Gray and Molly Druge added two RBI apiece.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 11, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Morgan Fusco launched a three-run homer in the first inning to start the Raiders (8-2) on their way to a win over thee Patriots (10-4) at Fryeburg.

Katy McIntrye also hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning and Camden Jones added and a two-run single as Fryeburg broke it open with a six-run outburst.

Winning pitcher Emilia DeSanctis allowed six hits and struck out eight.

Morgan Curtis had a single and a double and drove in a run for Gray-New Gloucester.

THORNTON ACADEMY SWEEPS BONNY EAGLE: Hannah Lappin and Madison Tracy combined to throw a three-hitter for the Golden Trojans (9-3) as they completed a doubleheader sweep against the Scots (1-8) with a 9-0 win at Saco.

In Game 1, Abby Miner hit a single and a home run to lead Thornton to a 14-2 victory. Jessica Dow, Claudia Pelletier and Izzy Miner each added two hits.

MARSHWOOD SWEEPS MASSABESIC: Reid Johnson’s two-run single in the fifth inning broke a tie in Game 1, starting the Hawks (10-2) on their way to a 3-1 win and a doubleheader sweep against the Mustangs (3-9) in South Berwick.

Raya Anderson homered in the first inning for Marshwood. Winning pitcher Alisha Dube scattered seven hits.

Emily Antrim struck out 10 for Massabesic. Ava Gerrish had three hits.

Lindsay Bennett pitched a three-hitter in Game 2, which Marshwood won 9-0. The Hawks broke it open with a six-run sixth.

LEWISTON 6, BRUNSWICK 3: A four-run first inning helped the Blue Devils (4-5) beat the Dragons (8-4) in Lewiston.

After Brunswick’s Kelsey Sullivan hit a two-run homer in the top of the first, Charlotte Cloutier tied it with a two-run homer in the bottom half, and Abby Chartier put Lewiston ahead with a two-run single.

Brunswick’s Blake Austin tripled in the second and was driven home by Hannah Fortier, but the Blue Devils scored a run in the fourth and another in the sixth.

NYA SWEEPS ST. DOM’S: Mikayla Wallace drove in three runs and the Panthers (5-3) overcame a big comeback by the Saints (3-6), scoring two runs in the sixth inning for a 9-8 win and a doubleheader sweep in Auburn.

Alyssa Hart had two RBI for St. Dom’s.

In Game 1, Jasmine Huntsman, Carly Fanzo and Eliza Chace each had three RBI in a 24-6 victory. Chace collected four hits.

PORTLAND SWEEPS CHEVERUS: Cassadie Armstrong hit a three-run homer in the opener and was the winning pitcher in both games for the visiting Bulldogs (6-6), who swept the Stags (1-9) by scores of 9-3 and 17-9.

CAPE ELIZABETH SWEEPS GREELY: Anna Cornell pitched a pair of two-hitters with a combined 15 strikeouts as the Capers (9-0) swept the visiting Rangers (3-7), winning 8-1 in each game.

LACROSSE

FREEPORT 16, MORSE 3: Myah Jensen and Savannah Tracy each tallied three goals and two assists for the Falcons (7-1) in a win over the Shipbuilders (2-8) in Freeport.

Megan Driscoll had two goals and two assists, and Hannah Grover added two goals and one assist. Kate Tracy finished with a goal and three assists.

Abbie Jung scored twice for Morse and Mary LaRochelle had one goal.

GREELY 11, GORHAM 3: Elsa Dean-Muncie finished with six goals and two assists, powering the Rangers (7-2) to a win over the Rams (2-7) in Cumberland.

Samantha Goldburg chipped in with three goals and three assists. Charlotte Taylor and Lauren Dennen each scored once, and Hannah Perfetti made six saves.

Abby Decrow, Kate Dupuis and Gracie Forgues scored for Gorham.

LAKE REGION 12, OXFORD HILLS 5: Katie Keenan scored four goals and set up two as the Lakers (6-4) defeated the Vikings in Naples.

Brianna Sargent added three goals, and Shauna Hancock had a goal and four assists.

Olivia Orlando led Oxford Hills with three goals.

BONNY EAGLE 18, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 5: Jocelyn Manson scored six goals and Kathryn Fullerton and Olivia Brown each added five for the Scots (1-5) in a win over the 26ers (1-7) in Gray.

Andrea Smith led the 26ers with three goals.
