SCARBOROUGH — Peter O’Brien singled in Nic Frink, who led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a triple, as Scarborough survived a late comeback to beat Windham 5-4 in baseball on Tuesday.

Windham (3-10) scored two runs in the seventh to force extra innings.

Ben Seguin had a double and drove in two runs for Scarborough (11-1), and O’Brien added two hits and an RBI.

Alex Wing and Cam Joyce had two hits apiece for the Eagles.

WELLS 7, KENNEBUNK 6: A leadoff triple in the bottom of the 13th inning put Zach Carpenter in position to score the winning run as the Warriors (6-6) topped the Rams (9-4) at Wells.

Carpenter scored off of a throwing error by Kennebunk’s center fielder. Carpenter also threw 8 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing three hits after Hayden Barker started.

Landon Schwartzmann had three hits, including a home run, for Kennebunk.

CHEVERUS 3, BIDDEFORD 2: Matt Connor, with his third hit of the game, singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, capping a late comeback that lifted Cheverus (10-4) over the Tigers (4-8) at Biddeford.

Trailing 2-0, the Stags tied it in the seventh on four singles, including RBI from Braden Watson and Brady Cormier.

Biddeford scored in the fourth on Kalvin Camire’s double and in the fifth on Alec Descoteaux’s single.

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, GORHAM 0: Cody Bowker allowed four hits over 6 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts to lead Thornton Academy (10-2) over Gorham (7-6) at Saco.

Bowker also had a double and a triple for the Trojans, who scored three runs in the first inning and put the game away with a three-run fifth.

BONNY EAGLE 11, DEERING 1: Nathan Morse went 4 for 4 and picked up the win as the Scots (5-6) rolled past the Rams (1-12) at Standish.

Brady Daycoombs, Brandon Maloney and Morse all hit doubles for Bonny Eagle, with Jacob Humphrey knocking a triple. Cam MacDonald had two hits.

Avery Lawrence had a double and a single for Deering.

MASSABESIC 7, SANFORD 4: Rylan Daigneault hit a two-run double in the fifth inning to give Massabesic (6-5) a 5-4 lead on the way to defeating Sanford (4-6) at Waterboro.

Dylan Gilpatric of the Mustangs and Justin Gould of Sanford each went 2 for 4.

GREELY 12, FREEPORT 0: Ryan Kolben hit a three-run homer during a five-run second inning and Greely (8-3) topped the Falcons (9-4) in five innings at Freeport.

Kolben also doubled in a run and scored four times. Mark Axelsen drove in three runs for the Rangers.

Zach Johnston allowed three hits in 4 2/3 innings for Greely.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

CONY 20, MORSE 3: Isaac Beloff scored eight goals and Jack Morrill had five goals and six assists as the Rams (4-7) rolled to a win at Augusta.

Casey Mills added five goals with an assist, and Josh Barrett and Nick Geneseo rounded out the scoring. Brodi Freeman had two assists and Duncan Hayes had one. Luke White, a defenseman pressed into goaltending duties, made 18 saves.

Sam Prager, Maxon Brochu and Cayden Green scored for the Shipbuilders (1-4).

BONNY EAGLE 16, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Christ Westgate had six goals and Nick Klein five as the Scots (7-3) topped the Patriots (4-6) at Standish.

PORTLAND 10, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Sam Gerber’s six goals lifted the Bulldogs (5-3) over the Raiders (5-5) at Portland.

Bedo Albatananio, Ben Littell, Drew Leonard,and Toby MacCachran all scored once for Portland.

Johnny Sylvain made four saves in goal.

CAPE ELIZABETH 16, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Keegan Lathrop scored seven goals, and Archie McEvoy added three goals and two assists as the Capers (7-0) rolled past the Red Riots (1-10) at South Portland.

Tiernan Lathrop and Oskar Frankwicz had two goals and an assist apiece for the Capers. Brady Demers and Cullen Adams scored for South Portland.

SCARBOROUGH 7, KENNEBUNK 4: A hat trick from Tae Delaware gave the Red Storm (8-2) the edge against the Rams (5-6) at Kennebunk.

Jeremiah Park added two goals for Scarborough.

Jake Sullivan scored twice for Kennebunk, with Nate Cripps scoring once. Eli Soule had a goal and an assist. Jack Kudas made 20 saves in goal.

SOFTBALL

GREELY 5, FREEPORT 0: Lily Rawnsley pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts and Mia Wright drove in three runs with a pair of hits as Greely (4-7) defeated the Falcons (2-9) at Freeport.

The Rangers scored in the third, then pulled away when Lindsay Eisenhart hit a two-run single in the fifth.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, ST. DOMINIC 2: Katy McIntyre hit two home runs to propel Fryeburg Academy (10-2) over St. Dominic (3-7) in five innings at Auburn.

Camden Jones and Ela Bruno also homered for the Raiders. McIntyre, who has five homers in the past six games, and Bruno each drove in four runs.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

KENNEBUNK 17, FALMOUTH 11: Ruby Sliwkowski scored six goals and Lily Schwartzman added five as visiting Kennebunk (10-0) topped Falmouth (7-2).

Emily Archibald added four goals for the Rams. Sloane Ginevan scored six, Eva Clement had three and Lucy Taylor two for Falmouth.

MORSE 11, LINCOLN ACADEMY 4: Mary LaRochelle and Delaney Pascuzzo scored five goals each as Morse (3-9) downed Lincoln Academy (1-8) at Newcastle.

Kaylee Creamer also scored for the Shipbuilders, who led 8-2 at halftime. Marley LeBel had two goals for the Eagles.
