Let me see if I have this right: Republican senators voted against creating a bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection. And, as the vote began, Sen. Susan Collins called out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for failing to support her amendment to the bill and blamed him for undermining the bill’s chances. Really?
Thirty-five members of her party voted “no” and nine others failed to vote at all. And she’s blaming the Democrats?
