LEWISTON — Natalie Beaudoin and Koral Morin each scored 16 points, and Lewiston held off a late Scarborough rally as the Blue Devils earned a 47-39 win in a Class AA girls’ basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Lewiston (5-6) opened the fourth quarter with six straight points for a 40-30 lead. Scarborough (7-3) answered with a 7-0 run, but two free throws by Ellie Legare and three by Beaudoin helped the Blue Devils secure the victory.

Elisabeth LeFebvre had 11 points for the Red Storm, who were coming off back-to-back wins over previously undefeated teams – Gorham and Cheverus.

THORNTON ACADEMY 67, SOUTH PORTLAND 54: Addisen Sulikowski scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and the Trojans (8-4) pulled away from Red Riots (3-9) in Saco.

Sulikowski had nine points in the fourth quarter and 17 in the second half for the Trojans, who led 50-45 after three quarters. Jess Dow finished with 16 points, while Hannah Cook and Bailey Littlefield each contributed seven.

Ruth Boles led South Portland with 13 points, followed by Megan Dearborn with 10 and Emma Travis with nine.

GORHAM 47, BONNY EAGLE 31: Brylee Bishop scored 20 points, including 11 in the third quarter, as the Rams (11-1) defeated the Scots (5-6) in Gorham.

Ellie Gay chipped in with 11 points.

Bonny Eagle was led by Kaitlyn Bartash with 12 points and Ember Hastings with 10.

YARMOUTH 65, FREEPORT 45: Maya Panozzo scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, and the Clippers (6-2) used a 23-8 edge in the third quarter to break open a close game against the Falcons (3-7) in Yarmouth.

Cate King got 10 of her 12 points in the third quarter for Yarmouth, which led 31-29 at halftime.

Mason Baker-Schlendering led Freeport with 17 points.

BIDDEFORD 63, WESTBROOK 47: Hannah Gosselin scored 20 points, including three 3-pointers, and the Tigers (3-7) controlled the middle quarters in a win over the Blue Blazes (3-7) at Biddeford.

Chantelle Bouchard added 13 points, and Khianna Jackson and Hannah Smith chipped in with nine apiece for Biddeford, which opened a 53-30 lead by outscoring Westbrook 41-19 over the second and third quarters.

The Blue Blazes got 12 points from Madison Cole and 11 apiece from Leah Cromarty and Taylar Hodge. Cole and Hodge each made three 3-pointers.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 49, LAKE REGION 46: Brooke Emery scored 16 points and Sydney Shaw added 12 as the Raiders (3-5) trimmed the Lakers (3-9) at Fryeburg.

Ava Smith scored 14 points and Brianna Sargent had 13 for Lake Region.

HALL-DALE 90, BOOTHBAY 25: KK Wills scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (11-0) in a win over the Seagulls (0-6) at Boothbay Harbor.

Iris Ireland and Lily Platt had 11 points, while KJ Greenhalgh and Jade Graham added 10 apiece.

Jaelyn Crocker led the Seahawks with 11 points.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 63, WAYNFLETE 54: Landen Johnson scored 32 points to lead the Seagulls (8-2) over the Flyers (4-5) in Old Orchard Beach.

Johnson had 10 in the first quarter to help his team to a 15-7 lead. The Seagulls stretched their advantage to 33-21 at halftime, and Johnson scored 11 points in the third quarter to help keep OOB in control.

Brady Croteau added 12 points.

Nico Kirby had 13 points and Matt Adey finished with 12 for Waynflete.

KENNEBUNK 54, WELLS 50: Joe Kiezulas led a balanced attack with 13 points as the Rams (6-4) edged the Warriors (4-7) at Kennebunk.

Jacob Thompson hit four 3-pointers for 12 points and Connor Keefe added 10 points for Kennebunk.

Devin Brown paced Wells with 16 points.

SOUTH PORTLAND 69, MASSABESIC 41: JP Estrella scored 28 points in just three quarters as the Red Riots (12-1) rolled past the Mustangs (2-7) in South Portland.

Estrella had 11 points in the first quarter, helping South Portland jump out to a 23-10 lead. He added 10 in the third quarter, when the Red Riots used a 20-6 advantage to extend their advantage to 58-25.

Isaiah Searles led Massabesic with 13 points. Jake Raymond and James Saccuzzo each scored 11.

YARMOUTH 50, BRUNSWICK 31: Peter Psyhogeos fueled an 18-4 third-quarter run with seven of his 18 points as the Clippers (11-1) pulled away from the Dragons (2-7) at Brunswick.

Matt Waeldner tossed in 11 points for Yarmouth.

Brunswick’s Trevor Gerrish had 10 points.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 79, RANGELEY 20: Elliott Oney scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half as the Panthers (5-5) rolled to a win over the Lakers (1-5) in Rangeley.

Logan Welch added 14 points, Moses Semuhoza scored 11, Cal Nice had 10 and Bryce Poulin nine for NYA.

Chase Carmichael hit two 3-pointers and led Rangeley with 16 points.

LEAVITT 67, LINCOLN ACADEMY 49: The Hornets (8-3) built a 41-18 lead at halftime en route to a win over the Eagles (1-7) in Newcastle.

Degan Jordan (13 points) and Sawyer Hathaway (12) combined for 15 first-quarter points as Leavitt jumped to a 24-9 lead. Brett Coburn then scored 12 of his 20 points in the second.

Coburn also had 12 rebounds. Hunter Hayes tallied nine points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals for the Hornets.

Gabe Hagar scored 14 for Lincoln, and Casey Duncan finished with 13.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

MARSHWOOD 1, WINDHAM 1: Aiden Hartwell scored for Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle/Sacopee Valley (4-4-1) with 4:36 left, and Caden Fontaine of Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble (3-6-1) answered about a minute and half later as the teams played to a tie at USM Arena in Gorham.

Sumner Wood stopped 16 shots for Marshwood. Porter Krause made 21 saves for Windham.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

SCARBOROUGH 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Meagan Donovan broke a tie with seven minutes remaining and the Red Storm (6-2-1) used a three-goal third period to rally past Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland (6-2-1) at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.

Evelyn Boardman tied the game at 6:25 of the third. Ashley Farrington clinched the win with an empty-net goal.

Maeve Davis opened the scoring for Scarborough in the first period.

Marina Bassett and Libby Hooper each had a goal and an assist for the Capers.

GREELY 8, PORTLAND/DEERING 3: Lily Rawnsley scored five goals and Kerry Roberts also recorded a hat trick for the Rangers (3-6) in a win over Portland/Deering (1-12) at Family Ice Center in Falmouth.

Greely led 4-0 after one period, on two goals apiece from Rawnsley and Roberts.

Jane Flynn tallied all three goals for the Bulldogs.
