SOUTH PORTLAND – Walter L. Fossett Jr., 72, of South Portland, passed away on Feb. 5, 2022, in South Portland. Walter was born in Portland to Walter Sr. and Lorraine (Tanner) Fossett on April 10, 1949.He married Norma I. Kierstead on July 22, 1972 in South Portland. He was a graduate of SMVTI. Walter later worked as a custodian for the South Portland School Department until he retired in 2005. He was involved in Maine Garden Railway Society, Masonic Hiram Lodge 180, Spurwink Rod & Gun Club, and was a member of the MEA.Walter is survived by his wife Norma; sons Aaron (wife Sheryl), Andrew (wife Veronica); grandchildren, Brandon, Collin, Paige and Kendall; and sisters Nancy Fossett and Sandra Kierstead (husband David). He was predeceased by his parents Lorraine and Walter L.
