For those about to jam, we salute you. Vermont-based jam band Twiddle take the stage in Portland. They’ve been touring almost nonstop for 15 years and are known for genre-bending tunes that criss-cross all over bluegrass, rock, jazz, funk and more. Might be a good idea to wear comfortable clothes and shoes (along with the required face mask) as you likely will find yourself dancing the night away at the general admission show. Folk, roots and Americana band Midnight North opens.

Stop! In the name of love and head to Merrill Auditorium this weekend for Portland Symphony Orchestra’s Music of Motown show. We heard it through the grapevine: Guest conductor William Waldrop along with vocalists Shayna Steele, Chester Gregory and Michael Lynche have plans to serve up some of Motown’s smash hits by the likes of Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, The Temptations and Stevie Wonder. You can indeed reach higher ground and will have guaranteed sunshine on a cloudy (or snowy) day by grabbing tickets to this show.
