Sharon L. Holbrook Allen 1941 – 2022 THE VILLAGES, Fla. – Sharon Holbrook Allen, 81, of The Villages, Fla., passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022. Sharon was born in Bath, Maine, the daughter of Gordon Holbrook and Rebecca Miller. Sharon worked for the Maremont Corporation in Saco, Maine for several years as an administrative assistant before relocating back to her home town of Bath, Maine in 1979, where she worked for Bath Iron Works Corporation for 16 years as a data entry operator. Sharon had a passion for writing, and published five books during her retirement, the last one co-written with her son, William. Sharon is survived by her husband, Gordon Allen of The Villages; four children, two daughters, Robin Curtis of Brunswick, Maine, and Stacy Johnston of Clayton, N.C., two sons, Chad Collins of The Villages, Fla., and William Snow of Clayton, N.C., a son-in-law, Scott Turner of The Villages, Fla.; two granddaughters, Quinn Dubord and her husband Eric Dubord of Brunswick, Maine, and Laramie Gameon of Midway Park, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Baylee and Brady Dubord of Brunswick, Maine, Zakkai Johnston of Midway Park, N.C., and Kaydence Garnett of Richmond, Maine; a stepson, Mark Allen of Virginia, and a stepdaughter, Kimberly Brown of Virginia. Sharon was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Johnston of Three Forks, Mont. Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Though she may be gone, she’ll never be forgotten. Sharon requested that there be no memorial service, and she will be placed to rest back home in Bath, Maine.
