I overheard a gentleman say that he is voting for Janet Mills to thank her for the $850 check he had just received. Well, that money wasn’t really Gov. Mills’ to give. The thanks should go to President Biden, who borrowed trillions of dollars and flooded the states with it.
There was so much of this money left over that our governor decided to hand it out to appreciative voters such as the aforementioned gentleman. Well, come to think of it, that borrowed money will have to be paid back by future generations of taxpayers.
So, if people really want to thank someone for those $850 checks, they should hug and thank a child, a toddler or even an infant because they are the ones who will have to pay back that money – with interest.
