The Scarborough Land Trust is hosting a summer series in collaboration with Friends of Scarborough Marsh this month.

The first session of the series took place Wednesday and focused on the importance of freshwater streams as well as finding and learning about critters that live in water.

The series’ second session, which will take place Aug. 17 at Blue Point Preserve, will focus on the biology and chemistry of Scarborough Marsh, and allow attendees to learn about and observe marshland wildlife with binoculars.

On Aug. 24, the third and final session will take place at Ferry Beach providing an opportunity to explore tide pools and studying ocean life.
