About the panel:

Kate Howell is a Program Director at Educate Maine where she runs Maine Career Catalyst, a program focused on expanding experiential learning opportunities and professional development for interns in the state of Maine.  Prior to joining Educate Maine, Kate was HR Generalist at a biotech company in Portland focusing on recruitment, career development, and university relations. She led the national university relations program and brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of internship programming and university partnerships. Before moving to Maine, Kate worked in New York City and Washington, DC across a variety of industries and non-profit organizations. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Syracuse University and a SCP certification from the Society for Human Resources Management. Kate is a member of Rotary International and serves as the President of the Kennebunkport club where she lives with her husband and daughter.

Justin Morrill is the Manager of Software Engineering and has worked at Tyler Technologies for 12.5 years, starting straight out of college and working in a variety of roles across support, quality assurance, and development teams. In his current management role, he has been actively interviewing and hiring interns for the last 5 years.

 

Brittany Mailman is the Head of People & Culture at MedRhythms Inc. and has been an HR professional for 10 years. She has an extensive background in many functions of HR at small, private and large, public companies. Brittany is driven by her passion for helping people thrive at work and has been fortunate enough to work with incredibly talented leaders and teams along the way, shaping her philosophy and style. She is an active member of the local HR community and sits on the board of directors for the HR Association of Southern Maine. She lives in South Portland and you can usually find her with her partner Trevor skiing in the winter or out on their boat in the summer.
