Charlotte Anne Curtis

Charlotte Anne Curtis 1941 – 2022 BRUNSWICK – We, Susan Geier, Linda Freimuth and David John Wetherell, the children of Phyllis Curtis White Wetherell (Charlotte’s sister), would like to express our joy and gratitude to our Aunt Charlotte Anne Curtis. Everyone should be able to have an aunt like “Char”; the world would be a better place for it. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with us all. She was always there for us whether it was a visit, phone call, letter, email or a surprise check when we most needed it. She taught us right from wrong, how to dive off a diving board, ride a motorcycle, always look out for others, ride and take care of horses, leave borrowed things better than when you got them, feed and water the horses before you could open your Christmas stocking, and anytime was ice cream time. She was proud of the generations of our family that had lived in Brunswick, Greenville, and Stonington. Her love and respect for those that came before her were a great source of comfort to her. And the generations of family that were members of Durham Friends Meeting gave her a foundation to stand on as well as a place to “be” in this world. Her perfect world would be if Durham Friends Meeting could have been in the desert Southwest, and all her nieces and nephews and best friend Donna, and her little dog, Annie living close by. She loved the desert’s wide open spaces and had hoped to spend her last years there as she had spent so much time there in her life. Thank you Char for being our Aunt. She wished that any donations be made to Durham Friends Meeting 532 Quaker Meeting House Rd. Durham, ME 04222
