Bowdoin College’s Schiller Coastal Studies Center on Orr’s Island will hold an open house from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13. Schiller Coastal Studies Center’s staff, faculty and students will celebrate the opening of the facility’s new expansion at an event open to the public.
Visitors may speak with Bowdoin students conducting research at the center, explore the center’s 3.5-mile trail system, and tour the facility, including the marine lab, dry lab, and Living and Learning Center, where there will be cider, warm drinks and snacks.
They may also share coastal concerns and ideas for how the Schiller Coastal Studies Center can be a partner with its neighbors to support healthy environments, communities, and economies.
