Roots duo The Small Glories, consisting of Cara Luft and JD Edwards, take to the stage in Boothbay Harbor on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Opera House, for a show that was delayed two years ago by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luft, one of the original members of The Wailin’ Jennys, and Edwards’ chemistry on stage has been labeled the “Lennon-McCartney syndrome,” by American UK, writing “Some things just work together … to witness a performance by The Small Glories is a rare opportunity to experience that indefinable quality that creates perfection.”

The band’s material is welcoming in terms of subject, folk-pop melody and instrumentation – songs of love, loss, and environment, delivered with various combinations of stomping claw hammer banjo, guitar and harmonica.

Tickets for their Nov. 13 concert are available by contacting the box office at 86 Townsend Ave. or calling (207) 633-5159. Special advance tickets are$20. Regular tickets are available online at boothbayoperahouse.com and on the day of the show at the door. Doors for seating open at 6:30 p.m. and The Small Glories take to the stage at 7 p.m.
