Kylie Young scored 10 of her 16 points in the first half as Westbrook took control in a 41-30 win over Marshwood in Class A South girls’ basketball game at Westbrook on Thursday night.

Natalie LaBrie added nine points for Westbrook (11-7), which led 25-14 at halftime. Young and LaBrie combined to hit six free throws in the fourth quarter.

Tia Anderson led the Hawks (12-6) with nine points.

DEERING 46, SCARBOROUGH 39: Maya Gayle hit two free throws in the final second of regulation, and Deering (4-14) went 9 of 10 from the free-throw line in overtime to rally past the Red Storm (8-10) at Scarborough.

Gayle finished with 16 points, Nyabhana Lia had 13 and Shay Rosenthal 10 for the Rams.

Caroline Hartley totaled 29 points for Scarborough.

CHEVERUS 44, WINDHAM 32: Ruth Boles got all nine of her points during a 15-4 surge in the third quarter as the Stags (16-2) ended their regular season with a win over the Eagles (11-7) in Windham.

Maddie Fitzpatrick scored 14 points and Emma Lizotte had 13 for Cheverus, which led only 16-15 at halftime.

Abbey Thornton paced Windham with 14 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 58, SANFORD 40: Hannah Cook, Addisen Sulikowski and Kylie Lamson combined for 15 3-pointers to help the Golden Trojans (17-1) down the Spartans (12-6) at Sanford.

Thornton hit six 3-pointers in the third quarter to extend a 27-23 halftime lead to 51-31.

Cook finished with 18 points, Lamson had 16 and Sulikowski 15.

Riley Hebler and Julissa McBarron each scored 14 points for Sanford.

SOUTH PORTLAND 50, PORTLAND 36: Destiny Peter scored seven of her nine points in the third quarter to help the Red Riots (9-9) pull away from the Bulldogs (3-15) in South Portland.

Samantha Duffy finished with 10 points for South Portland, which led 23-21 at halftime before outscoring the Bulldogs 13-6 in the third quarter.

Emma Shaw led Portland with 12 points.

GORHAM 78, NOBLE 17: Julia Reed scored 17 points and Kalin Curtis added 16 to lead Gorham (9-9) over Noble (0-18) at North Berwick.

Ellie Gay chipped in with 15 points for Gorham, which led 36-7 at halftime.

Olivia Morrill led the Knights with five points.

GARDINER 56, SKOWHEGAN 39: The Tigers (18-0) closed out a perfect regular season with a win over the River Hawks (7-11) in Gardiner.

Lizzy Gruber had a triple-double for Gardiner with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 blocks. The Tigers also got 13 points from Megan Gallagher and 10 from Savannah Brown.

Allie Frey had 15 points for Skowhegan.

OXFORD HILLS 54, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 36: Ella Pelletier scored 22 points and went 5 for 5 at foul line as the Vikings (17-1) overpowered the Broncos (10-8) in Hampden.

Sierra Carson added 18 points to help guide Oxford Hills to a 28-22 halftime lead.

Hampden’s Bella McLaughlin scored 13 points and Kennedy Fortin had 12.
