All state tournament basketball games planned for Thursday have been rescheduled by the Maine Principals’ Association because of an expected snowstorm.
The MPA announced late Tuesday afternoon that the four Class AA boys’ semifinals will be played Friday at Cross Insurance Arena, with the North games in the afternoon and the South games in the evening. The winners will play for regional titles on Saturday.
In Bangor, the Class D North boys’ semifinals have been moved to Wednesday, and the Class C North semifinals are now scheduled for Friday. To make room for the Class C North semifinals, the Class B North finals are moving to Saturday afternoon, and the Class D North finals will be played Saturday morning instead of Saturday afternoon.
On Monday, the MPA revised the Augusta Civic Center schedule, with Class D South girls’ semifinals shifting from Thursday to Wednesday, and Class C South boys’ and girls’ semifinals moving from Thursday to Friday.
