Jane Lauretta Pelletier-Galinat

LAKELAND, Fla. – Jane Lauretta Pelletier, of Lakeland, Fla. and previously of Gorham/Windham, where she spent most of her life, died on Saturday March 11, 2023 from a long-term illness.

She was born Feb. 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Lionel and Marguerite (Leborgne) Pelletier.

Jane grew up in Gorham and graduated from Gorham High School. As a youth she enjoyed skiing and the outdoors. She married Raymond J. Mondor (previously deceased) and raised her three children in Windham.

Jane worked numerous positions, one of which was for the Windham School Dept. working in the kitchen to prepare and serve lunch to all the school children, while appreciating the “mother’s hours” allowing her to be home with her own.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Galinat Sr. of Lakeland, Fla.; her three children, Scott R. Mondor and wife Necole M. Mondor of Harrison, her twin daughters Suzanne M. Sutton and her husband Michael Sutton of Boonville, Ind., and Tammy M. Boclair and her husband Mark A. Boclair of Westbrook, her son-in-law and wife, Richard Jr. and Melissa Galinat of Lakeland, Fla.; her sister, Collette Connelly and her husband David of Nashua, N.H., and her brother, Richard and wife Judy Pelletier of Tenants Harbor. She will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren, Brooke, Taeryn, Gwyndellyn, Colwin, Benjamin, Jacob, Paige and Brady; and three great- grandchildren, Ainsley, Theadora and Sage; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father; as well as her sister, Suzanne Thoits and brother, Rev. George Pelletier.

Interment will be after cremation at St. Hyacinth Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
