Winning pitcher Charlotte Donovan was 3 for 4 with three RBI and four runs scored, and Biddeford earned its second victory in three days over a previously undefeated opponent, 10-5 over South Portland/Westbrook in a Class A South softball game Saturday in South Portland.

Baylor Wilkinson also drove in three runs for the Tigers (5-1). Wilkinson and Laura Perreault each had two hits.

Biddeford led 6-5 after a wild first two innings, but Donovan shut out the Red Riots the rest of the way. Only one of the runs she allowed was earned.

Haley Ball and Madison Cole led South Portland/Westbrook (6-1) with two hits.

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, NOBLE 3: Sophie Maloy hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Trojans (1-3) over the Knights (1-6) at Saco.

Thornton pitcher Sophia Bogardus scattered nine hits, with four strikeouts and one walk. Emma Barnes had two hits and two RBI.

Olivia Ross hit a two-run single for Noble. Maren Robinson allowed seven hits while striking out three.

YORK 5, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: McKayla Kortes pitched a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and also had two hits to lead the Wildcats (6-1) past the Raiders (3-5) in York.

LAKE REGION 8, YARMOUTH 5: The Lakers (4-0) broke a 4-4 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth, highlighted by a double by Margo Tremblay, as they defeated the Clippers (1-3) at Yarmouth.

Melissa Mayo, Emily Rock and Kylie Myers had three hits apiece for Lake Region, while Lyla Levesque and Tremblay each added two hits.

Emma Butsch led Yarmouth with two hits.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 33, WISCASSET/BOOTHBAY 1: Maddie Herr finished with four hits and four RBI as the Mustangs (5-0) won a five-inning game at Wiscasset (0-7).

Rileigh Chase added three hits and five RBI, while Shanna Parsons had three hits and four RBI. Riley Smith and June Foyt also collected three hits, and Brooklyn Federico homered.

Parsons and Smith combined to throw a one-hitter.

LACROSSE

MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 14, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5: Ashley Deschamp and Xanthe Sawlivich each scored four goals to lead the Black Bears (1-3) past the Raiders (0-6) in Readfield.

Eliza Pattershall chipped in with three goals. Alice Ferran, Lily Caban and Emerson Davis also scored.

Grace Murley led Fryeburg with two goals.
