For a whole lot of laughs, head to Biddeford for the comedic play “Exit Laughing,” by Paul Elliot. The show takes a fun look at a taking out a new lease on life. The story revolves around four women who have been friends for 30 years and what happens when one of them suddenly passes away. Laughter and reveling in cherished memories ensue. Also, since it’s Mother’s Day weekend, all mothers who attend this Friday and Saturday’s performances will be given flowers and entered into a drawing for a fabulous gift basket.

Shop till you drop for records, CDs and music memorabilia on Saturday in Portland. Recordshowmaine will have more than 40 dealers on site selling all sorts of music for you to scour through. From highly collectible to quirky, this show will have it all. Cash, credit cards, PayPal and checks accepted for payment. If you’re really hardcore, you can beat the rush and gain access an hour early for an extra fee. It may be worth it because you never know what crate will have your holy grail of albums.

Here’s a fun and belly-filling way to celebrate a Maine brewery. Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick invites you to its 6th Anniversary Shindig. The bash includes a pig roast from Rollin’ Smoke BBQ Pit, wood-fired pizza specials, beer releases and sensational blues rock, classic rock and original tunes from Sons of Quint. Be sure to try a Wings (New England IPA) or Subhunter (Imperial IPA) at the brewery that’s on the site of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station.
