Yarmouth voters should consider Christina Patrick for school committee.
As an education policy expert, she’s helped school districts across the country recruit and train teachers. Patrick would be in a unique position to ensure talented educators thrive in Yarmouth.
When things go wrong in the school district, the public rarely has the full picture, often due to confidentiality laws protecting students and employees. It is essential school committee members be capable of making unpopular decisions if it’s the right thing to do. Patrick has the character and backbone to make difficult decisions when necessary.
I am a school attorney and I’ve noticed the way committee members listen – or don’t – to residents can have a profound impact on a community. Good listening can hold a community together during difficult times, such as the pandemic. Patrick is one of the best listeners I have ever met.
