Kellen Adickes, Lincoln Academy junior: Adickes will be looking to get his hands on the Class B individual title after tying for second as a freshman and finishing third last year. He was third in the 16-18 flight at the Maine Junior Championship.

Taylor Farr, Gorham senior: Farr tied for third in Class A last year with a 3-over 75, and was consistently in the low 80s and high 70s during tournaments on the New England PGA Junior Tour this summer.

Will Farschon, Brunswick junior: Farschon could take over as Brunswick’s No. 1 player. He carded two of three rounds below 80 at the National High School Invitational, was a first-round leader at the Maine Junior Championship, and made the cut at the Maine Amateur.

Joe Hansen, Greely sophomore: Hansen could be a state title contender in Class A as soon as this year. He shot 84 at last year’s state meet, but tied for third in the 13-14 flight at the Maine Junior Championships with rounds of 73 and 76.

Johnny Hwang, Falmouth senior: Hwang returns as one of the Navigators’ top players. He finished tied for fifth in Class A last year, and tied for fourth in the Maine Junior Championship’s 16-18 flight.

Carley Iannetta, Falmouth junior: Iannetta goes into the season as a favorite, along with Windham’s Fiona Harmon and Thornton’s McKenna Castle, to take the Class A girls’ championship. She scored rounds of 78 and 87 at the Maine Junior Championship.

Andres Jimenez, Thornton Academy senior: Jimenez is a consistent and proven tournament player, having shot 79 at last year’s SMAA qualifier and then a 78 at states. The Trojans are championship hopefuls, largely because they can bank on their senior ace.

Mick Madden, Cheverus sophomore: Madden was the runner-up for the Class A individual title as a freshman, and will eye the prize again after making the cut at both the Maine Amateur and New England Amateur.

Eli Spaulding, Freeport senior: The reigning New England high school champion is back for his final season and will look to claim his third straight Class B title. He tied for fourth in the Maine Amateur at even par and tied for 10th in the New England Amateur at 2 over.

Marc Twombly, Scarborough junior: Twombly returns as the Red Storm’s No. 1 player after winning the Class A individual championship at 3 under – the only score under par in all three divisions. He also placed first in the SMAA qualifier.
