Sonja Bell’s goal in the 14th minute stood up as Yarmouth earned a 1-0 win over Cape Elizabeth in a Class B South girls’ soccer match Thursday afternoon.

Bell got to a long pass from Kadin Davoren before beating Capers goalkeeper Ellis Piper (nine saves).

Cape Elizabeth managed only one second-half shot on Clippers goalie Regan Sullivan, who stopped all six shots she faced.

Both teams are now 4-1. Cape Elizabeth is ranked third in the Varsity Maine top 10, while Yarmouth is eighth.

GORHAM 1, WINDHAM 0: Kaitlyn Nichols found the back of the net with 21 seconds left in the first overtime to give the Rams (4-0) a win over the Eagles (2-1) in Gorham.

WAYNFLETE 2, YORK 1: Fallon Culley scored in overtime, giving the Flyers (3-1) the edge over the Wildcats (1-3-1) in York.

Lucy Hart put Waynflete in front off a set piece 20 minutes into the game.

York’s Grace Clayton tied it off a cross from Isabelle Young with 16 minutes left in regulation.

LAKE REGION 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Hailey Brewer scored in the first half and Margot Tremblay added another in the second to lift the Lakers (3-2) over the Raiders (2-3) in Fryeburg.

Jordan Blanton made five saves for Lake Region.

WELLS 5, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Caitlin Shiels scored three goals to power the Warriors (3-1-1) past the Rangers (1-3-1) at Wells.

Wells also got goals from Caitlin Rooney and Hailey Marshall.

YARMOUTH 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Matt Gautreau scored less than two minutes into the game, and the Clippers (4-1) beat the Capers (3-1-1) in a rematch of last year’s Class B South final, at Cape Elizabeth.

Justin Dawes made it 2-0 late in the first half. Rory O’Grady converted a penalty kick early in the second half for Cape, but goals by Jonny Fulton and Gautreau clinched Yarmouth’s victory.

Ian O’Connor stopped five shots for Yarmouth. Cape Elizabeth keeper Raef Curran made two saves.

TRAIP ACADEMY 3, WELLS 2: Adrian Cunningham scored twice early in the second half, spurring the Rangers (4-1) to a comeback win over the Warriors (0-3-1) in Kittery.

Makili Matty added the third goal for the Rangers, who erased a 1-0 halftime deficit. Traip goalie Jack Downs made four saves.

Kaden Springer opened the scoring, then got the final goal with 20 seconds left. Colton Harding finished with six saves for Wells.

WAYNFLETE 2, YORK 0: Jacob Woodman set up a goal by Abie Waisman, then scored the second goal as the Flyers (2-2) defeated the Wildcats (1-3) in Portland.

Nico Kirby earned the shutout with seven saves.

KENNEBUNK 1, SCARBOROUGH 0: Devin Roy scored five minutes into the game and Dylan Jones made six saves as the Rams (3-1-1) edged the Red Storm (1-2-1) at Kennebunk.

Ben Urban assisted on Roy’s goal.

Seamus Corry made three saves for Scarborough.

FREEPORT 0, GREELY 0: Mason Vintner made six saves for Freeport (2-0-3) and Landon Dominski stopped four shots for Greely (3-1-1) as the teams played to a scoreless draw in Cumberland.

BONNY EAGLE 5, CHEVERUS 1: Lucas Drinkwater and Adam Harmon each scored twice as the Scots (3-1-1) cruised past the Stags (1-3) in Standish.

Arlo Libby also scored, Kaden Cyr had two assists, and Ryder Owens made six saves for Bonny Eagle, which pulled away with three unanswered goals in the second half.

Anton Behuniak scored for Cheverus.

DEERING 4, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Motasim Abdalla struck for a pair of goals, and Chandrel Mangele Laza and Nick Simon also scored as the Rams (4-0-1) beat the Trojans (0-3-1) in Saco.

FALMOUTH 3, MARSHWOOD 1: Ali Carter notched a goal in each half and Evan Mayo set up two goals as the Navigators (3-2-1) got past the Hawks (1-3-1) in Falmouth.

James Melino converted a penalty kick for Marshwood.

WINDHAM 8, NOBLE 0: Nick Marion notched a hat trick and Luke Cunniffe recorded two goals and two assists as the Eagles (5-0) rolled past the Knights (0-5) in Windham.

Tyrie James, Matt Bilodeau and Sam Rogers also scored.

PORTLAND 4, SANFORD 0: Martin Kalala-Wasukundi scored two goals and set up another, helping the Bulldogs (4-0-1) beat the Spartans (1-3) in Sanford.

Oliveira Nzolakio and Max Kierstead were the other goal scorers.

WESTBROOK 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Ithiel Mulumba scored in the second overtime to give the Blue Blazes (2-2-1) a win at Biddeford (1-3).

Westbrook’s Hamza Nabi connected on a 50-yard floater midway through the first half. Huseen Saad tied in on a penalty kick later in the first half.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, LAKE REGION 0: Nivaldi Lucarto got a hat trick, and Hugo Sala had two goals and an assist for the Raiders (3-2) in a win over the Lakers (0-5) at Naples.

Diego Pacazzoli and Andre DiMolfetta also scored.

Freshman Justen McCubrey made 12 saves in his first start for Lake Region.

GORHAM 6, MASSABESIC 0: JT Morrell and Owen Spera each had a goal and an assist as the Rams (3-1-1) defeated the Mustangs (1-3) at Waterboro.

GORHAM 12, PORTLAND/DEERING 0: Brooke Farquhar totaled four goals and three assists, and Sydney Quimby netted three goals as the Rams (4-0) coasted past Portland/Deering (1-3) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Reece Leclerc added two goals, and Hannah Bickford, Grace Cunningham and Emerson Homa also scored.

Emma Walsh made 19 saves for Portland/Deering.

SANFORD 6, SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 3: Audrey Payeur led the Spartans (2-0) with a goal and two assists in a win over South Portland/Westbrook at South Portland.

Sadie Sevigny, Lilliana Lam and Zoey McCann each contributed a goal and an assist. Natalie Payeur completed Sanford’s scoring in the fourth quarter.

Mackenzie Hall scored twice and Jane Phillips had a goal and an assist for South Portland/Westbrook.

YARMOUTH 2, GREELY 0: Sophie Smith posted a goal and an assist as the Clippers (5-0) topped the Rangers (2-2) in Yarmouth.

Celia Zinman opened the scoring in the first quarter. Quincy Schnee made eight saves to earn the shutout.

Greely’s Mya Vickerson turned aside 27 shots.
