Lyla Casey scored her second goal with 14 minutes left to lift the North Yarmouth Academy girls’ soccer team to a 2-1 win over Waynflete in the regular-season finale on Tuesday in Portland.

The Panthers (10-1-3), who lost to Waynflete (9-5), 1-0 on Sept. 29, locked up the top seed in the Class C South playoffs.

Casey scored off a corner kick by Ella Giguere three minutes into the game. The Flyers tied it when Lucy Hart scored on a penalty kick later in the first.

Ayla Stutzman made eight saves for Waynflete, while Sarah Moore stopped four shots for NYA.

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, DEERING 0: Quincy Thibault had two goals and an assist, while Charlotte Belanger had a goal and two assists to lift the Trojans (10-3-1) over the Rams (3-10-1) in Saco.

Ayala Littlefield also scored for Thornton Academy. Ava Lomax made two saves.

Sophie Hill recorded 18 saves in goal for Deering.

GREELY 8, WELLS 0: Lily Pierce had a hat trick and Shaylee O’Grady scored a pair of goals to lead the Rangers (7-5-2) to a win over the Warriors (7-5-2) in Cumberland.

Avery Bush, Abby Lennox and Jackie Franklin also had a goal for Greely.

MT. ARARAT 4, BRUNSWICK 3: Elena Willis headed in a cross from Emma Berry in the second overtime and the Eagles (10-3-1) topped the visiting Dragons (10-4) in Topsham.

LAKE REGION 1, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Bella Smith scored with 17:44 to left in the game to lift the Lakers (8-3-1) over the Rangers (3-9-2) in Naples.

Avery Bouffard stopped 11 shots for Traip Academy, while Jordan Blanton stopped four shots for Lake Region.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 4, MORSE 1: Maria Delisle scored twice as the Eagles (4-8-1) beat the Shipbuilders (5-9) in Bath.

Bronwen Coffin and Abby Kopp also scored for Lincoln.

Zoe Nicholson scored on a corner kick by Shealyn Brochu for Morse.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, POLAND 1: Jilyan Byrne scored twice in the second half as the Raiders (5-9) beat the Knights (2-11-1) in Poland.

Grace Audette gave Fryeburg a 1-0 lead in the first half. Thea Thornton tied it for Portland 10 minutes into the second half.

MARSHWOOD 4, WINDHAM 2: Four players scored as the Hawks (7-7) beat the Eagles (5-9) in Windham.

Eva Hersey, Shannen Maldonis, Erika Parker and Isabel Rothwell all scored for Marshwood.

Ava Gerrity and Zocia LaWind scored for Windham.

SANFORD 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Audrey Payeur and Paige Sevigny scored to lift the Spartans (8-6) past the Golden Trojans (4-9-1) in Sanford.

SCARBOROUGH 4, SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 0: Hailey French had a pair of goals to lead the Red Storm (8-6) to a win over the Red Riots (2-12) in Scarborough.

Rosa Perlut and Laine Niles also scored, while Maggie Pendergast had two assists for Scarborough.

Emily Keefe recorded 11 saves for South Portland/Westbrook.

GORHAM 7, FALMOUTH 0: Brooke Farquhar scored five goals to set the single-game scoring record for the Rams (13-1) in their win over the Navigators (8-5-1) in Gorham.

Emerson Homa opened the scoring for Gorham on a pass from Annabelle Collier early in the first quarter. Reece Leclerc scored in the second quarter on a feed from Emily Fadrigon.

Jenna Nunley had 13 saves for Falmouth, while Madison Tibbals stopped all 12 shots faced for the Rams.

BOYS’ SOCCER

WESTBROOK 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Hamza Nabi, Ithiel Mulumba and Marcelin Kobenan scored, Jason McCarthy made nine saves and the Blue Blazes (7-6-1) defeated the Red Riots (6-5-3) in Westbrook.

Nabi finished a pass from Paddy Walsh with 16:05 left in the first half and Mulumba struck in a through ball from Mo Amhed four minutes later.

The Blue Blazes scored just over a minute into the second half when defender Pierce McLellan sent a long clear that took a high bounce in the South Portland goal area and Kobenan headed it in for a 3-0 lead.

Curtis Metcalf scored from Beckett Mehlhorn with 16:25 remaining and Michael Zaccaria stopped 10 shots for South Portland.

McCarthy made a leaping saving on a ball that was headed under the crossbar with 14:40 left.

TRAIP ACADEMY 3, LAKE REGION 0: Ivan Blanco scored twice as the Rangers (10-3-1) beat the Lakers (1-13) in Kittery.

Terry Gagner also scored for Traip, while Mason Carter, Makili Matty and Adrian Gonzales each had an assist. Jack Downs made two saves.

Justen McCubrey had 12 saves for Lake Region.

BIDDEFORD 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: Presence Tshiamala scored in overtime as the Tigers (5-9) rallied to beat the Trojans (3-9-2) in Biddeford.

Huseen Saad scored with 4:33 left in the second half to send the game to overtime for Biddeford. Consolation Sumbu scored in the first half for the Tigers.

Rylan Foshay scored on a penalty kick in the first minute of the game and Guilherme Simoes Dos Santos scored in the second half for Thornton Academy.

PORTLAND 2, MARSHWOOD 0: Olivera Nzolakio scored off a Martin Kalala-Wasukundi corner kick to break a scoreless tie in the first half and the Bulldogs (11-2-1) beat the Hawks (3-10-1) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Isaac Rodriques-Nkanza scored from Max Kierstead in the second half for Portland.

Andy Layton stopped eight shots for Marshwood.

FALMOUTH 3, SANFORD 0: Michael Christman had two goals and an assist to lead the Navigators (8-4-2) over the Spartans (1-12-1) in Falmouth.

Ian Christie added a goal, Simon Wissink had two assists and Theo Kowalsky made three saves for Falmouth.

Ryan Roy turned aside eight shots in goal for Sanford.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, POLAND 1: Nivaldo Lucato de Souza Neto recorded four goals as the Raiders (10-4) cruised past the Knights (6-6-2) in Fryeburg.

Hugo Sala Marseca and Andre DiMolfetta each had a goal and an assist for Fryeburg. Myles Willimann made four saves.

Sam Paladino made seven saves in goal and scored on a penalty kick with five minutes remaining for Poland.
