I write to encourage my fellow Portlanders to reelect April Fournier to our City Council. April has proven her dedication through hard work, listening to voices outside of City Hall, and creating opportunities to address the difficult issues facing our city.
As a councilor, April has been an advocate for inclusion and listening to voter opinions, especially those from populations who aren’t often heard in the halls of leadership. Recognizing the acute housing crisis, she has created additional space for the full council to explore solutions and actions while hearing what voters want.
As we move forward, I want my city’s leaders to be the people who build connections and relationships, working on problems in collaboration, and paying attention to the voters. April has my vote.
