I’m enthusiastically supporting Pious Ali to be Portland’s next mayor, and I’d like to share why.
Pious is a deep, caring soul with a unique ability to bring people together to forge solutions to our city’s problems. We all keep walls up to protect ourselves. Pious works to have us lower those walls to confront our city’s biggest challenges.
Pious is the king of authentic listening. He’s able to stay in the conversation, no matter how emotional people get. He’s able to hear through negative or positive energy and to move to solutions that get to the heart of problems.
I’ve worked side by side with Pious on many issues, including confronting Portland’s housing crisis. Pious gives me hope for the future, he is what we need in this moment, and I hope all join me in ranking him first on our ballots.
