A teenager died Tuesday night from injuries received in a motorcycle crash on Cider Hill Road in York, police said in a statement Wednesday.
York police, fire and rescue personnel responded to a 911 call to the scene shortly after 8 p.m. and immediately began treating the 17-year-old, according to the statement.
The teen was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, where they died. York police said Thursday morning that they were still waiting to confirm that all next of kin had been notified, but still may not identify the teen because of their age.
The crash is being investigated by a reconstruction specialist, police said.
