Zach Johnson hit an RBI single and scored on a passed ball in the fifth inning, then hit a two-run single and scored on a throwing error in the sixth as South Portland defeated Cheverus 8-0 in an SMAA baseball game Friday.

The Riots (7-2) totaled all of their runs in the fifth and sixth against the Stags (3-5).

Riley Hasson chipped in with three hits and three RBI for South Portland. Hunter Owen gave up three hits over five innings, striking out six. He also had two hits.

Justin Ray finished with two hits for Cheverus.

WINDHAM 14, BONNY EAGLE 4: Chris Naylor’s double helped key a seven-run third inning as Windham (7-2) opened an 11-0 lead over the Scots (4-5) en route to a six-inning triumph at Standish.

Naylor finished with two RBI and a run on two hits. Tanner Bernier had three RBI and two runs for the Eagles, with Brady Afthim scoring three times. Robert Faucher drove home a pair and also scored for Bonny Eagle.

OXFORD HILLS 3, GREELY 2: Wyatt Williamson hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Vikings (7-2) over the Rangers (6-4) at South Paris.

Will Neleski had three hits and an RBI for Greely.

Colton Carson of Oxford Hills struck out six, and allowed six hits and no walks.

MESSALONSKEE 8, BRUNSWICK 2: Ben Hellen had three hits, drove in two runs and scored two more to lead the Eagles (5-5) over Brunswick (3-8) at Oakland.

Tyler Lewis chipped in with two hits and two runs for Messalonskee. Parker Poulin had a single and an RBI.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8, YORK 4: Nathan Knapp hit a two-run double in the sixth inning and finished with two hits as the Raiders (5-5) defeated the Wildcats (3-7) at York.

Tim MacDonald was 4 for 4 with three RBI, including a double and a two-run homer in the fifth for York.

Braydon Bartlett of Fryeburg pitched four innings and struck out seven, allowing two hits and three walks.

HAMPDEN ACADEMY 4, CONY 1: Nick Lorenzo threw a three-hitter to lead the Broncos to the KVAC A win at Augusta.

Lorenzo had a pair of hits for Hampden (7-2), while Derek Gendreau had a single and a triple for the Broncos.

Mike Levesque hit two singles for Cony (2-7).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 11, WINTHROP 6: The Phoenix (4-4) used big innings and a 10-hit attack to post the MVC victory at Winthrop (4-4).

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 11, MT. ARARAT 8: Jonah Eng had six goals and two assists to lead the Panthers (6-1) past Mt. Ararat (5-2) at Yarmouth.

Mason Parks and Xander Kostelnik added two goals apiece for NYA.

CHEVERUS 17, MESSALONSKEE 16: Max Coffin scored five goals and Colby Anton and Chris St. John had four apiece to lift the Stags (2-5) over the Eagles (4-2) at Portland.

Dawson Charles had five goals for Messalonskee.

MASSABESIC 11, GORHAM 10: Garrett Stubbs scored two goals, including the winner in the second overtime as the Mustangs (5-3) edged the Rams (2-5) at Waterboro.

Massabesic, led by Jacob Travis with four goals, trailed 10-8 at the half. Cameron Roy added three goals. Winter Whitten and Max Irons also scored for the Mustangs.

SOUTH PORTLAND 14, KENNEBUNK 4: David Fiorini collected four goals and two assists, Cooper Mehlhorn had three goals and two assists, and Alex Stevens added three goals as the Red Riots (5-2) defeated the Rams (2-4) at South Portland.

Dante DeLorenzo had two goals and an assist for Kennebunk.

Cole Dickinson made 12 saves for the Rams. Quinn Watson stopped six shots for the Red Riots.

WINDHAM 13, MARSHWOOD 5: Tyler Woolston, Liam McCusker and Tommy Lekousi scored three goals apiece for the Eagles (5-1), who cruised to an 8-1 halftime lead and defeated the Hawks (1-6) at South Berwick.

Grant Jacobson chipped in with two goals and four assists, and Ben Elliott made 12 saves for Windham.

Cooper Ross and Henry Honkonen each scored twice for the Hawks.

FALMOUTH 8, YARMOUTH 7: Henry Farnham scored with 24 seconds remaining to lift the Yachtsmen (7-0) over the Clippers (5-1) at Yarmouth.

Lou Mainella scored three goals, and Farnham and Tom Fitzgerald each added two for Falmouth.

Anders Corey finished with three goals and Cooper May had two for Yarmouth.

CAPE ELIZABETH 8, SCARBOROUGH 2: Sam Dresser scored three times, and Killian Lathrop twice to lead the Capers (4-3) over Scarborough (1-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

Jacob Brydson, Archie McEvoy and Ben Carroll also scored for Cape Elizabeth. Marco Manfra accounted for both Red Storm goals.

PORTLAND 14, YORK 4: Kevin Moore and Reilly O’Brien scored three goals apiece for the Bulldogs (7-0), who used an 11-0 run to overcome a 3-0 deficit and pull away from the Wildcats (3-3) at Portland.

Mark Engholm scored all three goals as York took its 3-0 lead.

Tristan Arcand and Mikias Silva chipped in with two goals apiece, and Sam Shaw added four assists. Aaron Hoekstra made 18 saves for Portland.

GREELY 15, BRUNSWICK 14: Ben Kennedy had five goals and three assists, including the tying goal with 43 seconds remaining in regulation, and Ethan Fraser chipped in the winner in overtime as the Rangers (4-2) came from behind to beat the Dragons (6-2) at Brunswick.

Fraser finished with two goals and one assist. Tim Coyle added three goals and two assists for Greely.

Aiden Glover and Max Gramins scored three goals apiece for Brunswick.
