As the Republicans’ very own Sen. Mitch McConnell said about blocking the appointment of Merrick Garland, President Obama’s 2016 SCOTUS nominee, in a highly charged election year “the American people are perfectly capable of having their say on this issue, so let’s give them a voice. Let’s let the American people decide.”
So I guess this means that Sen. Susan Collins won’t look at nominees until after the November elections, right? As I always say, “Live by the sword, die by the sword”:
The Republicans got to deny Garland.
It’s us Democrats’ turn to deny every one of Trump’s right-wing, anti-choice, regressive candidates until after the election when the voice of the blue wave will turn things around.
