SOUTH PORTLAND — A 39-year-old city man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed late Friday night.
South Portland Police Sgt. Steven Webster said the unidentified victim was found at the bottom of a stairway at 25 Palmer Street at 11:22 p.m. He was unconscious when discovered and was taken to Maine Medical Center.
Webster said interviews with witnesses revealed the identity of the person who stabbed the man, but no charges have been filed in the incident. The case has been forwarded to the Cumberland County District Attorney for review.
