SCARBOROUGH — Incumbent Jessica Holbrook and fiscal conservative Ed Blaise won three-year terms on the Town Council, while Kate St. Clair was elected to fill the remaining two years of the council term left open by Karen D’Andrea’s resignation last summer.
Voters also approved spending $900,000 to buy a new ladder truck for the Black Point Fire Station in elections Tuesday.
Holbrook topped all candidates with 5,836 votes to win her second term. Blaise won 3,902 votes, while challengers Paul Andriulli and Christopher Coon trailed with 3,599 and 3,385 votes, respectively.
St. Clair defeated Bill Donovan 4,676 to 4,602 in her first run for elected office.
The 20-year bond for the ladder truck is expected to cost $1.08 million in principal and interest at an anticipated 2 percent.
Uncontested Board of Education races for three-year terms returned incumbent Jackie Perry to the board while newcomers Donna Beeley and Christopher Caiazzo were elected.
Incumbent Scarborough Sanitary District trustees Ben Viola and Nick Rico also won new terms in uncontested elections.
