One of the most anticipated events of McAuley’s Homecoming weekend was the school’s annual “Powderpuff” football battle Friday night between the green team, which consisted of juniors and seniors and the yellow squad, made up of freshmen and sophomores. This year’s game (and bragging rights) went to the green team, 21-0, giving the juniors and seniors an all-time 6-1 record in the series, which began in 2006. The game was played under portable lights in front of a raucous crowd.
