I am writing to encourage my neighbors in Freeport and Pownal to vote for Melanie Sachs, a Democratic candidate for the House District 106 seat. Given her political experience working with Sen. George Mitchell and working for Mainecare reform, and her long career as a social worker in both the public and private sectors, Melanie has the “right stuff” to bring to Augusta. In talking with her, I know that her concerns – affordable health care, quality education, and attracting companies to Maine for good-paying jobs – are the concerns we all share.
Melanie has the values and attributes that I want to see in Augusta: a commitment to public service, the ability to work with diverse groups of people, and the energy and enthusiasm to collaborate with other legislators to enact laws which will help all Maine families.
Invest in our future, vote for Melanie Sachs.
