A Sept. 22 story, “Towns seek train horn ‘quiet zone’ in advance of Downeaster,” should have said that the Federal Railroad Administration estimates that the risk of a train collision is 44 percent greater in an area with a whistle ban and no supplemental safety measures.
The Sept. 22 Falmouth Police Beat should have said Douglas C. Oakford, 20, of Applegate Lane, was arrested Sept. 13 on charges of disorderly conduct and domestic violence assault. Malcolm Douglas Oakford was not arrested.
