SCARBOROUGH — Earlene Ahlquist Chadbourne, author of “Parenting Myself: Recovery from Traumatic Brain Injury,” will discuss her book at the Scarborough Public Library at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1.

Chronicling Chadbourne’s two-decade recovery from the brain injury she suffered in a bicycle accident, the book examines her progress, struggles and challenges she continues to face.

“Parenting Myself” gives perspective to those living with brain injuries, particularly veterans, as well as to those family members and caregivers who support them.

The event is free and open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. For more information on the book and the author, visit parentingmyself.com. To learn more about events at the library, go to library.scarborough.me.us.
