Paul Farrell is a candidate for an at-large seat on the Portland Charter Commission and I urge you to join me in supporting him.

Paul is a neighbor of mine in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood and a former co-worker from the Maine Democratic Party’s Victory 2008 campaign. He is a talented community organizer and a tireless advocate for open communication between our citizenry and our government. Moreover, he is a trusted friend whose patience, intellect and even temperament will make him a valuable asset to the commission and Portland’s residents.

Paul is a supporter of a democratically elected mayor, a stronger relationship between the City Council and School Committee, and a comprehensive and sustainable economic development plan. Additionally, his experience on Maine’s working waterfront and on the steering committee of Portland’s Restaurant Opportunities Center give him tremendous expertise in two of Portland’s most important industries.

These are just a few of the reasons Paul has earned my vote.
