SCARBOROUGH —The Scarborough Land Conservation Trust will hold its annual meeting later this month with special guests Stacy Brenner and John Bliss of the trust’s Broadturn Farm and Town Manager Tom Hall.
The public is invited to meet board members and learn more about the future of land preservation in Scarborough.
The trust’s accomplishments include preservation of nearly 1,000 acres in town, including Fuller Farm, the Libby River Farm, Sewall Woods and Broadturn Farm, a 434-acre property that offers a Community Supported Agriculture program and a summer Farm Camp for 200 children. All have year-round public access; trail maps are available on the group’s Web site, scarboroughmaine.com/slct/trails.html.
The annual meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Town Hall; refreshments will be served. For more information, call Marla Zando, stewardship director, at 885-9677.
