TAUNTON, Mass. — A Taunton social studies teacher accused of having sex with two 14-year-old students has been ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
Patrick Doyle, a Taunton High School eighth-grade teacher, was arraigned Monday in Fall River Superior Court on charges of aggravated statutory rape; enticing a child under 16; distributing obscene material; and reckless endangerment of a child.
The 33-year-old Seekonk resident’s dangerousness hearing has been scheduled for next Monday.
Doyle is accused having sex with one 14-year-old student at his house on three occasions. He’s also charged with having sex on school grounds with another student.
His lawyer says evidence in the case is weak and his accusers are liars trying to sabotage his career.
