For eight weeks, kids have read books, gathered evidence, solved crimes and sleuthed their way through mysterious activities as part of the “Get a Clue @ the Library” summer reading program at the Scarborough Public Library. On Wednesday at 11 a.m., families and their readers are invited to celebrate at a wrap-up finale on the library lawn featuring rock ‘n’ roll fun with the Stingray Band. Those attending should bring blankets, beach chairs and a picnic lunch. The library will provide the beverages.

Certificates and prizes will be distributed to all who completed the reading program. Those not able to attend the finale must pick up certificates and prizes at the library by Monday, Aug. 13.

Adults participating in the adult summer reading program are also reminded to turn in their reading logs by Tuesday to be entered in the raffle of a gift box of Maine books and goodies valued at $150.
