The South Portland Public Library will host Maine-based writer Monica Wood on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Wood will discuss her books, including her latest novel, “The One in a Million Boy,” which revolves around the friendship between a 104-year-old Lithuanian immigrant woman and an 11-year-old Boy Scout obsessed with Guinness world records.
