AUGUSTA — Central Maine Power is concentrating on York County as it seeks to restore power for the last handful of homes and businesses still in the dark following the October nor’easter.
CMP says 300 homes and businesses were without electricity late this morning.

At one point, the company had about 145,000 customers without power on Sunday after the storm dumped up to 20 inches of snow on parts of the state. CMP says its restoration effort included 200 two-person line repair crews and 110 tree crews, backed up by support personnel.
Spokeswoman Gail Rice says that after power restoration efforts are complete, the state will see if crews can be dispatched to help in other New England states.
