PORTLAND — The U.S. Coast Guard stopped the trip of a fishing boat about 13 miles southeast of Portland due to safety concerns.
A guard cutter noticed Sunday there were not enough fire extinguishers or safety flares aboard the 45-foot boat called Still Mis Behavin. The guard said the life raft was not mounted in the right location and its emergency position radio beacon had expired.
The boat was escorted to Harpswell.
