The Southwestern Maine Activities Association released its All-Star teams for girls basketball on Friday, and players from both Thornton Academy and Sanford were honored.

Thornton junior guard Katie McCrum was one of six players named first team All-Conference, along with McAuley’s Allie Clement and Victoria Lux, Scarborough’s Ashley Briggs, Gorham’s Emily Esposito and Cheverus’ Jess Willerson.

Thornton senior Olivia Shaw and Sanford senior Morgan Fogg were both named to the second team.

Thornton freshman Isabella Robinson was named to the All-Rookie team, while McCrum also appeared on the All-Defensive team.

Thornton head coach Eric Marston was named the Ron Cote SMAA Coach of the Year, and Shaw was given the Lisa Blais Manning Student-Athlete of the Year award. Clement was chosen as the SMAA player of the year.
