LISBON — Lisbon broke a 2-2 tie with Mountain Valley with four runs in the bottom of the six as the Greyhounds pulled away for a 6-2 victory in Mountain Valley Conference baseball action on Monday.

Lucas Francis capped the scoring with a two-run double in the sixth, his second base hit of the game. The senior also pitched a complete game on the mound, scattering five hits with seven strikeouts and no walks. 

Noah Austin also had two hits for the Greyhounds (3-0), and Levi Levesque doubled in the game-tying run in the fifth to make it 2-2.

Garrett Garbarini had two hits for the Falcons (2-1). Ethan Laubauskas doubled in the second and was driven in by Aaron LaBrash to give Mountain Valley a 2-1 lead.

Cam Godbois started for the Falcons, pitching the first five innings, giving up four hits with five strikeouts while walking five. Laubauskas took the loss in relief.

Lisbon travels to Oak Hill on Wednesday (4 p.m.).

Morse 10, Oceanside 7

The Shipbuilders tallied three runs in the eighth inning for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Oceanside. 

The host Mariners trailed 7-2 in the seventh. Oceanside scored five runs in the frame to tie the game to force extra innings. 

Ty Knowlton broke the tie for Morse with a two-run home run in the eighth. 

Austin Magliozzi had three hits and three RBIs for the ’Builders, who visit Leavitt on Wednesday (4 p.m.). Jackson Walker and Knowlton each doubled. 

Asa Hodgdon went six innings on the mound, allowing two runs on three hits with nine strikeouts.

Jonah Carlson and Austin Pagano each singled twice for Oceanside. Uriah Thongsphaphone added a home run. 

Winthrop 12,
Wiscasset 1

The host Ramblers scored six runs in the second inning to take control in MVC action. 

Winthrop’s (2-0) Jackson West and Jake Carter had two hits each in the win. Colby Emery added a double. 

The Wolverines fell to 0-3 and hosts Monmouth today at 4 p.m.

FREEPORT — Alexa Koenig pitched and hit Freeport to a Western Maine Conference 11-6 victory over Wells. 

The Falcons (1-1) jumped out to a 7-1 lead. After the Warriors drew within 7-4, Freeport tacked on four more runs in the fifth for an 11-4 advantage.

Koenig allowed 10 hits and seven walks, but worked out of trouble, picking up three strikeouts. 

At the plate, Koenig singled, doubled, scored two runs and drove in a pair. Jaclyn Burke was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Brooke Pawlowski singled three times. Alexys Langley doubled in a pair of runs. 

Freeport returns to action today at Traip Academy (4 p.m.). 

Oceanside 2, Morse 1

Oceanside rallied for two runs in the sixth inning for a KVAC win over Morse. 

Chloe Jones tossed a no-hitter for the Mariners (4-1) with 13 strikeouts and three walks. 

Dory Kulis was solid on the mound for the Shipbuilders (2-3). She permitted three hits and struck out six. 

Abby Veilleux, Jessica Watkinson and Autumn Harvey each singled for Oceanside. 

Morse visits Leavitt on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Camden Hills 4

The Dragons banged out 17 hits to picked up their first KVAC win of the season in downing the Windjammers in Brunswick.

Scoreless in the second, Brunswick (1-3) strung together four straight singles, highlighted by a Mia DeSantis two-run base-knock.

Camden Hills answered with four runs in the third. Kennedy Peterson drove in two runs, giving the Windjammers a 4-3 advantage.

But, the Dragons responded quickly, as Shea Sullivan launched a two-run home run to deep right-center field for a 5-4 Brunswick lead. Mia Klimash and Riley McAllaster followed with singles before a two-run to the left-center field gap by Hannah Fortier upped the lead to 7-4. 

Brunswick put the game away with five runs in the fourth. 

Sullivan found her rhythm on the mound, with seven strikouts while scattering seven hits.

Grace O’Connell and Alyssa Bland had two hits each for Camden. 

Brunswick hosts Lincoln Academy today at 4 p.m. 

Winthrop 30,
Wiscasset 0

Layne Audet tossed a no-hitter to power the Ramblers to an MVC win over the Wolverines. 

Winthrop (1-0) put up 12 runs in the first inning and seven more in the second. Hannah Caprara had a pair of doubles.

Wiscasset (0-2) hosts Monmouth today at 4 p.m.

Boys lacrosse

WATERVILLE — Morse tallied 14 goals in the first half en route to a 24-9 victory over Lawrence at Thomas College.   

The Shipbuilders put up seven goals in the both the first and second quarters and added five more in the third for a 19-8 lead. 

Wyatt Hudson, Sheamus Mann and Mason Savary each scored five goals for Morse (2-1), which visits Mt. Ararat at Bowdoin College on Thursday at 8 p.m. Mann dished out six assists, while Savary had three helpers. Max Brochu chipped in two goals, an assist and eight ground balls. Defenseman Soren Langord had three clears and picked up three ground balls, while defender Alden Harkins played well. 

Aiden Glover powered his way to five goals and an assist as the Dragons dispatched Cony at Brunswick in KVAC action to improve to 3-0. 

Jacob Belanger and Ben Israel added four goals and three assists in the win. 

Miqueias Biasuz had the lone goal for Cony (0-3).

Brunswick hosts Edward Little on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
