The York County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that it has broken up a burglary ring that stole more than $125,000 worth of vehicles and equipment earlier this month.
The thefts included a $90,000 Kubota tractor and trailer from Alfred, a $6,000 GMC truck from Lebanon and $30,000 worth of snowmobiles and equipment from a business in Sanford, the sheriff’s office said.
Sheriff’s deputies and Sanford police arrested two Waterboro men Friday: Timothy Caswell, 32, and Charles Stoddard, 53, on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
A third man, Anthony Foglio, 25, of Waterboro, was arrested in Bath on Wednesday afternoon. He was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and drug trafficking after his arrest at the Hampton Inn.
Sheriff Maurice Ouellette said Foglio has been in trouble with the law several times and is being held on $100,000 bail at York County Jail.
Deputies said stolen items were sold in Lyman, Waterboro, Danforth and Vanceboro. They recovered three snowmobiles and the truck in York County
