FARMINGTON — The Maine Maritime Academy women’s basketball team held on to defeat Maine- Farmington, 60-55, on Tuesday night in North Atlantic Conference play.
The Mariners shook off a slow start, using a 10-2 run to claim a 22-20 lead. Former Mt. Ararat High School standout Kristi Willey hit a pair of 3-pointers to spark the run.
Willey finished with 15 points, six rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot in the win.
MMA is 14-7 overall, 10-4 in the NAC, and visits Castleton University on Friday.
