BATH — The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust is hosting its final Summertime Shindig fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to the historic Bath Freight Shed to enjoy views of the Kennebec River, hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will support KELT’s work: education, stewardship, land, and water quality programs benefiting nine local communities.
The Summertime Shindigs are the land trust’s only fundraising events this year. Tickets are on sale at www.kennebecestuary.org/summertimeshindigs at $60 per person. Contact Becky Kolak at [email protected] or call (207) 442- 8400 with questions.
The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust is a membership supported organization dedicated to protecting the land, water and wildlife of the Kennebec Estuary.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
