SCARBOROUGH — Cody Bowker threw a four-hitter, allowing one run and fanning 10, as Thornton Academy edged Scarborough 3-1 in baseball on Wednesday.

Henry Lausier singled in the fourth inning, advanced to third on an error and scored on a dropped third strike to give Thornton Academy (12-3) a 1-0 lead.

Brady Graffam singled to drive in Jack Cote in the top of the sixth and Bowker scored on Michael McLeer’s sacrifice fly to add an insurance run.

Peter O’Brien reached on an error and later scored on an RBI single from Nic Frink in the bottom of the sixth for Scarborough (14-2).

MORSE 4, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Brenton Cahill threw a no-hitter, striking out four and walking three batters as the Shipbuilders (5-10) blanked the Eagles at Newcastle.

Brogan Shaw and Boden Gouled each had a pair of hits for Morse, and Gabe Aucoin added a double.

CAPE ELIZABETH 10, YORK 4: The Capers (9-7) scored three unearned runs in the top of the third and added four runs in the fifth, paced by a Francis MacGregor two-run single, as they cruised past the Wildcats (10-6) at York.

Ben Pierce and Charlie Bischoff both were 2 for 3 with a run scored for Cape Elizabeth.

Joe Neal had a pair of hits, including a solo home run, for York.

SOUTH PORTLAND-BIDDEFORD SPLITS: Nolan Hobbs went the distance, allowing three runs on seven, striking out seven for the Red Riots (11-5) as they downed the Tigers (5-9) 7-3 to secure a doubleheader split at Biddeford.

Richard Gilboy had three hits, including a pair of doubles, for South Portland, and Hobbs added a pair of hits.

Will Harriman had two hits for Biddeford.

Alec Descoteaux and Kyle Dion each had a pair of hits to lead Tigers to a 6-4 win in the opener,

Conner Dobson and Finn O’Connell each had two hits for the Red Riots.

KENNEBUNK SWEEPS MASSABESIC: Oliver Leonard’s no-hitter and Dom DeFeo’s three-hit outing carried the Rams (11-4) to a doubleheader sweep of the Mustangs (6-8) at Kennebunk.

Leonard struck out 11in winning the opener 4-0. David York’s first-inning RBI triple put Kennebunk on top early before Drew Slikowski added two more runs on a single in the sixth.

James DiGiovanni, Landon Schwartzman, Timmy Teguis and York collected two hits apiece in the 12-2 win in the second game. DeFeo struck out six in five innings. Jake Langevin and Aaron Kiss each had one RBI for Massabesic.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 8, OCEANSIDE 1: Blake Morrison drove home three runs for the Panthers (4-3) as they beat the Mariners (6-9) at Rockland.

Max Holbrook threw a complete game with nine strikeouts for Medomak. Ethan Reed had two RBI on two hits.

Alex Bartlett and Nate Coombs led Oceanside with a home run and a pair of singles.

WAYNFLETE/NYA 9, LAKE REGION 1: Luke Josephson threw six innings, allowing just one hit as Waynflete/NYA (8-5) defeated the Lakers (4-12) at Portland.

Josephson added a single and a double, with Derek Wolverton also getting two hits for Waynflete/NYA.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

GREELY 17, FREEPORT 2: DJ Kenney and Lucas Cook had four goals apiece to lead the Rangers (5-4) to a win over the Falcons (0-11) at Cumberland.

Nick Fallon and Matt Kennedy each added two goals for Greely.

Spencer Osgood and Sam Dudek split time in the cage for the Rangers, combining for 7 saves.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, ST. DOMINIC 1: Owen McDuffie dominated the faceoff circle and scored three goals as the Patriots (6-6) topped the Saints (4-5) at Gray.

Jake Butler, Ben Pierce and Brody Simpson all tallied a goal for GNG. Sam Tibbetts made seven saves.

Lucas Pushard scored for St. Dom’s. Goalie Aaron Thibault had 14 saves.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 11, LAKE REGION 5: Myles Garland scored five goals as the Raiders (6-6) beat the Lakers (2-9) at Naples.

Rohan Mikel scored three goals and Will Galligan had two for Fryeburg. Haden Fox scored one. Goalie Patrick Harris made 17 saves.

Aiden Lajoie’s two goals led Lake Region. Jason Harlow, Jacob Leimery and Zachary Vogel all scored one goal. Andrew Edwards made 11 saves.

BERWICK ACADEMY 9, FALMOUTH 5: Jackson Travis had three goals and added a pair of assists as the Bulldogs (11-1) beat the Yachtsmen (10-2) at Berwick.

Nick McSorley and Albert Allen each had a pair of goals for Berwick Academy, and Paddy Condon won 15 of his 17 faceoffs.

WAYNFLETE 11, PORTLAND 3: Sam Whipple scored three goals as the Flyers (7-1) topped the visiting Bulldogs (8-4).

Whipple also added an assist. Roan Hopkins and Harry Millspaugh each put up two goals and three assists, with Owen Anderson getting one goal and three assists. Alex Vest made seven saves.

Portland goalie Johnny Sylvain made18 saves. Sam Gerber had one goal.

SOFTBALL

BIDDEFORD SWEEPS SOUTH PORTLAND:  Baylor Wilkinson lined a two-run double to pace a three-run third inning as the Tigers (13-3) took the lead for good and downed the Red Riots (7-8) 8-2 and secure a season-ending doubleheader sweep at Biddeford.

Mia Miccuci had a solo homer in the fourth for South Portland, and Eliese Perron added a pair of triples in the contest.

Charlotte Donovan led Biddeford with three hits, and Wilkinson and Laura Perreault each added two hits.

The Tigers broke open the first game with five runs in the fifth, highlighted by a three-run blast from Wilkinson, to take the opener 12-2.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2: Katy McIntyre drove in five runs as the Raiders (11-3) beat the Panthers (7-8) at Fryeburg.

McIntyre went 3 for 4 with two doubles and a two-run homer. Camden Jones went 4 for 4 with a home run for Fryeburg and also picked up the win.

MORSE 6, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Camdyn Johnson struck out 14 and allowed three hits as the Shipbuilders (11-4) downed the Eagles (10-4) in a regular-season finale at Newcastle.

Johnson also had two singles, and Hailie Johnson hit a two-run double. Brook Kulis, Abby Carpenter, Michaela Patterson and Anastasia Franz all had hits.

Grace Houghton took the loss for Lincoln Academy, striking out nine and walking two.

THORNTON ACADEMY 16, WESTBROOK 0: Abby Miner blasted two home runs and pitched a complete game, lifting the Trojans (11-4) to a win over the Blue Blazes (7-7) at Saco.

Miner went 2 for 3 and allowed two hits and struck out three. Isabelle Miner and Madison Vachon each had two doubles for TA.

Caitlin Noiles hit a double for Westbrook.
