Mary Alice Scott

Mary Alice Scott has joined the Maine Association of Nonprofits as public affairs manager. Scott, of Portland, previously served as executive director of Portland Buy Local for four years.

Attorneys Robert E. Mittel and Scott Dolan have joined Portland law firm Petruccelli, Martin & Haddow LLP.

Robert E. Mittel

Mittel, formerly of Portland law firm MittelAsen LLC, which closed in December, has joined as “of counsel,” meaning he works with the firm but is not a partner or associate. He brings an extensive background in intellectual property and business litigation experience to the firm.

Scott Dolan

Dolan, who also worked with MittelAsen, has joined the firm as an associate. He represents a wide range of individual and business clients in civil and appellate litigation, successful business building and problem solving, and intellectual property. Dolan is a former Press Herald reporter.

Tempe Landi

Tempe Landi has joined Coastal Mountains Land Trust as development and communications coordinator. Landi, of Lincolnville, brings experience from a variety of fundraising capacities, most recently at Skidmore College in New York.

Maine Community Bank has hired Lisa Hughes as vice president, senior business banking officer. Hughes comes to the bank with over 20 years of experience, most recently as a business credit manager.

Sherrelle Riquinha

Sherrelle Riquinha has joined Kennebunk Savings as branch manager in Berwick. Riquinha brings experience in retail training management and the U.S. Army.

Melissa Gilpatrick

Melissa Gilpatrick has joined Kennebunk Savings as branch manager in North Berwick. Gilpatrick has two decades of management experience.

PROMOTIONS

Portland-based international media company Diversified Communications has announced the following nine promotions:

Lindsey Hall

Lindsey Hall has been promoted to senior registration coordinator. She joined the firm in 2019 as registration coordinator.

Kelsey Philbrick

Kelsey Philbrick has been promoted to digital solutions specialist. Philbrick joined the firm in 2019. She was formerly a digital content coordinator.

Dave Fournier

Dave Fournier has been promoted to director of infrastructure and security. He joined the firm in 2020 and previously worked in the same capacity as manager.

Kelcey George

Kelcey George has been promoted to senior marketing coordinator within the seafood/healthcare group. George joined the firm in 2018 and was previously a marketing coordinator.

Casey Descoteaux

Casey Descoteaux has been promoted to database analyst within the data team. Descoteaux had served as a junior database analyst. He joined the firm in 2019.

Casey Reynolds

Casey Reynolds has been promoted to sales manager within the Tech Team. Reynolds was an account executive. He joined the firm in 2016.

Julie Roopenian has been promoted to senior conference coordinator within the BCOM Team. Roopenian joined the firm in 2018 and previously served as event coordinator.

Lynn Maziarz has been promoted to digital marketing specialist. Maziarz joined the firm in 2006 and was previously a digital marketing coordinator.

Simone Verria has been promoted to digital marketing specialist. Verria had served as digital marketing coordinator. She has been with the firm since 2019.

Preble Street has announced the following promotions: Jade Johnson has been promoted to director of anti-trafficking services. Johnson previously served as supervisor of anti-trafficking services and has been with Preble Street since 2019. Erin McBrady has been promoted to director of community case management services. Johnson and McBrady were previously supervisors at the temporary quarantine and emergency shelter.

Misty Parker

Misty Parker has been promoted to assistant director of economic and community development for the city of Lewiston. Parker has worked for the city since 2014. Her previous role was economic development manager.

Marie Mueller

Marie Mueller, a trial attorney at Portland law firm Verrill, has been elected a partner of the firm. Mueller is a member of the firm’s litigation and trial group. Her practice is focused in the areas of construction litigation, medical malpractice defense, probate litigation and other complex litigation matters.

Catholic Charities Maine has announced the following changes and additions to its board of directors:

Lauren Moody

Lauren Moody has been named chair of the board. Moody, of Auburn, is a parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish in Lewiston and serves as a minister of the Eucharist at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Jared des Rosiers

Jared des Rosiers has been named vice chair of the board. He is a partner in law firm Pierce Atwood LLP, lives in Falmouth and is a member of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist.

Cindy Nickless

New board members include Cindy Nickless, who serves as board president for Maria Mater Dei Missions Inc. She has served on the finance council for St. John Paul II Parish in Scarborough.

Deacon Darrell Blackwell

Deacon Darrell Blackwell, of Wells, also has joined the board. Blackwell retired from active ministry at Holy Spirit Parish in Wells/Kennebunk in May 2021. He was named Deacon of the Year in 2018 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.
