Campaign leaders will announce results of the United Way of Mid Coast Maine’s fundraising drive at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at a campaign finale at Bowdoin College’s Moulton Union.

United Way is still taking donations to help reach the $1,650,000 goal. People can give online at uwmcm.org, text “DONATE2UW” to 41444, call United Way at 443-9752 or send a donation to United Way at 34 Wing Farm Parkway, Bath, ME 04530.

“Everyone can take action right now, through United Way, to improve their neighbors’ lives,” said Campaign Chairperson Mara Pennell, vice president of commercial lending for Bath Savings. “United Way calls on the generosity of all of us. When we help each other, we also help ourselves, and build a stronger community for all.”

Donations are needed to make sure United Way’s 36 funded partner agencies can provide food, shelter, fuel assistance, child care, youth mentors, health care, outreach to isolated seniors and other critical help to the people of Sagadahoc and Lincoln Counties, Brunswick and Harpswell.

All United Way donors, volunteers and supporters are welcome to attend the campaign finale. In addition to fundraising results, awards will be presented for successful workplace campaigns, overall campaign excellence and Volunteer of the Year.

Bowdoin College’s dining service will provide refreshments following the program. The cost is $15 per person. To RSVP, text “UWFINALE” to 91999, visit uwmcm.org/finale or call 443-9752.
