ALFRED — The trial is due to resume today for a Maine woman and her brother who are charged with killing the woman’s husband in Old Orchard Beach two years ago.
Darlene George of Old Orchard Beach and her brother Jeffrey Williams of West Hempstead, N.Y., went on trial last week for the killing of 45-year-old Winston George.
Darlene George’s lawyer acknowledged as the trial got under way last week that she was unhappy in her marriage but said she didn’t plan the June 2008 murder.
Police say the suspects tried to make it look like a home invasion.
