KITTERY — Sara Ring hit a key 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter Tuesday night as Wells beat Traip Academy 53-48 in girls’ basketball.

With the game tied at 36, Ring hit her shot to give Wells (4-0) the lead for good, and Leah Tufts hit a pair of free throws to ice the contest.

Tufts finished with a team-high 15 points.

Cassidy Delano scored 16 points to lead Traip (1-3) and also had 11 rebounds.

Marina Casey and Reilly Eddy each added eight points.

WESTBROOK 46, MARSHWOOD 43: Alisha Aube scored 26 points while leading the Blue Blazes (2-2) past the Hawks (1-3) in South Berwick.

The Blue Blazes, leading 23-13 at the half, had to withstand second-half surges by Marshwood before Aube and Madi Mullet combined to convert all six free throws down the stretch.

Westbrook led 46-40 with 2 seconds to play, but Gabrielle Bazemore drained a 3-pointer with just over a second left to bring the Hawks within a basket.

However, Jennilee Witham successfully inbounded the ball to end the game.

Bessemer finished with 14 for the Hawks.

DEERING 47, SANFORD 32: Amanda Brett had eight of her game-high 20 points in the second quarter as the Rams (3-1) took a 24-16 halftime lead and held on to defeat the Spartans (1-3) at Sanford.

The win was the 300th career victory for Coach Mike Murphy as a girls’ basketball coach.

Abby Ramirez added 13 points for Deering.

Summer Camire was the lone scorer in double figures for Sanford with 12 points.

BONNY EAGLE 62, PORTLAND 39: Cassidy Emery scored 13 points, Mackenzie Emery 12 and Mia Ferrante 11 to pace the Scots (2-2) during a victory over the Bulldogs (0-4) in Standish.

Bonny Eagle opened the game with an 11-5 run and built a 33-20 halftime lead.

Katie Johnson’s 14 points led the Bulldogs.

RANGELEY 62, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 22: Blayke Morin scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Lakers (4-1) past the Lions (2-2) at South Portland.

The Lions were led by Clarissa Jones, who had 10 points and six rebounds.

GREELY 40, YARMOUTH 27: Anna DeWolfe scored 21 points while hitting three 3-pointers to lead the Rangers (3-1) past the Clippers (1-3) in Cumberland.

Moira Train added eight points for Greely, which led 28-12 at halftime.

Cory Langenbach scored nine points for Yarmouth.

MCAULEY 71, NOBLE 29: Jessica Willerson scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the first half to lead the Lions (4-0) past the Knights (0-4) in North Berwick.

Catherine Reid chipped in with 15 and Eva Mazur added 12 for McAuley, which outscored Noble 25-5 in the second quarter.

Sam Couture scored 11 points for Noble.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 58, CAPE ELIZABETH 25: Julia Quinn scored 18 points and also had four steals for the Raiders (3-0) as they cruised past the Capers (0-4) at Fryeburg.

Alexis L’Heureux-Carland added 13 points and six rebounds for Fryeburg.

The Raiders opened the second half with a 15-2 run after building a 16-point halftime lead.

The Capers were paced by Madeleine Bowe with 17 points.

YORK 76, FALMOUTH 46: Shannon Todd led a balanced attack with 16 points and Mia Briggs added 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Wildcats (4-0) downed Falmouth (2-2) at York.

Emma Thompson chipped in 15 points on five 3-pointers for the Wildcats, coming up one shy of the school record for 3-pointers in a game.

Falmouth was led by Candice Powers with 11 points.

MORSE 49, MT. ARARAT 29: Katie Moore scored 12 points in the second quarter as the Shipbuilders (3-1) outscored Mt. Ararat (1-3) 20-3 to take a 29-9 lead into halftime in Bath.

Isabelle Paulus led Morse with 17 points. Moore finished with 14 points, and Emma Harrington 10.

Sara Lamb’s nine points led the Eagles.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 66, BELFAST 31: Gabrielle Majer had 11 points, seven assists, five steals and four rebounds to lead the Eagles (3-1) past the Lions (1-2) in Newcastle.

Avae Traina added nine points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks for Lincoln, which outscored Belfast 19-0 in the first quarter.

Samantha Burke added eight points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Lincoln.

Mariah Sturgis scored 12 points for Belfast.

SACOPEE VALLEY 40, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 23: The Hawks (2-2) outscored the Seagulls 15-1 in the third quarter for a win at Old Orchard Beach.

Sacopee Valley enjoyed balanced scoring as Tianna Garland, Abigail Hughes and Helen Ruhlin each scored nine points.

Peyton Feitz was the lone player in double figures for Old Orchard (1-2) with 11 points.

CAMDEN HILLS 49, MT. VIEW 48: Mara Dostie made a 3-pointer to give the Windjammers (1-3) a three-point lead in overtime and they held on to beat the Mustangs (1-2) at Thorndike.

Charlotte Messer led Camden Hills with 11 points and Dostie finished with seven points.

Jenni Nadeau scored a game-high 26 points for Mt. View.

Andrea Crosby added 15 points for the Mustangs.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 39, POLAND 28: Brianna and Ashley Jordan combined for 24 points to lead the Patriots (4-0) over the Knights (2-2) in Poland.

Brianna Jordan scored a game-high 14 and Ashley Jordan added 10 for Gray, which led 23-12 at halftime.

Skye Conley chipped in with 10 for the Patriots, who finished 24 of 30 from the free-throw line.

Nathalie Theriault scored nine points for Poland. Morgan Brousseau added eight.

LAWRENCE 55, MT. BLUE 40: Dominique Lewis led all scorers with 20 points, including four baskets from behind the 3-point arc as the Panthers (4-0) cruised past the Cougars (1-3) at Fairfield.

MESSALONSKEE 62, BREWER 44: Sophie Holmes led all scorers with 18 points and finished with 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles to the win in Oakland.

McKenna Brodeur added 16 points for Messalonskee (3-1) and Ally Turner had 11 points and four assists.

Dakota Bragg added seven rebounds.

Brewer (2-2) was led by Emily Lord with 13 points.

WINSLOW 51, ERSKINE 25: Heather Kervin scored a game-high 18 points and Ciara LeClair added 14 as the Black Raiders prevailed in South China.

Maddy Roy chipped in eight points for Winslow (4-0).

Michelle Lemelin led Erskine (1-3) with six points.

LISBON 46, WINTHROP 23: Jasmin Le scored a game-high 21 points to spark the Greyhounds to a win in Winthrop.

Bree Sautter added eight points for Lisbon (2-3).
